End Cruelty against Disabled People
- Make all current disability and chronic sick benefits Life Awards, with no further
re-assessments, for all adult and child ages.
- New claimants to disability and chronic sick benefit, to be awarded solely from the original NHS doctor’s medical diagnosis. Then Life Awards.
- Life Awards of Blue Badge disabled parking badge.
- Zero rate VAT on disability aids. Not need to be on benefit to be exempted from VAT on disability aids.
- Make law to provide a universal right to independent living for disabled people.
- Free social care for disabled people within fully public NHS (complying with article 19 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities) called National Care Service. With input of design from service users, who would have a Charter of Service.
- Fund research in robots / robotic aids helping physically disabled people in their own home, so not only reliant on free council paid carer visits.
- Reclassify PTSS (Post traumatic stress syndrome) as a disability, being as is trauma stress over long periods of time, to such as soldiers in wars, childhood traumas and a specialist workplace bullying. This is a disability before it is a mental health condition, as can be treated.
- Strengthen access to justice for people with disabilities by amending 2010 Equality Act, enabling discrimination at work to be challenged.
- End Bradford Score re illness absence from work for all workers.
- Incorporate into domestic law,
the UN Convention on the
Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
- Under the Istanbul Convention, disability hate crime and violence against women with disabilities to be reported annually, with national action plans to address these issues.
- Comprehensive review and update of Deafblind interpreter registration and communicator guide regulation.
- This will not only benefit Deafblind and Usher individuals, but will also enhance the quality of employment for
Interpreter Guides and
Communication Guides
by raising service standards.
- Specialist help for disabled people who want to work, to help them into jobs in fully funded Citizens Advice Bureau. Informing as to rights for reasonable adjustments by workplace.
- Specialist advice in fully funded Citizens Advice Bureau for Family Carer’s Allowance and child disability benefit claiming. Made simple to claim and keep.
- Increase Family Carer’s Allowance to same level as Unemployment benefit.
- All current railway station ticket offices to remain open or be re-opened if closed down.
IN BRITISH WORKSHOPS
- In liaison with DPAC disability benefit campaign group and National Pensioners Convention and other such campaign groups.
- Have each of these publicly owned train and underground train carriage with roll on / roll off access for all.
- Publicly owned Family train and underground carriages with proper spaces for baby buggies.
- Disabled peoples’ train and underground only carriages, with half of carriage to put wheelchairs and mobility scooters (small to medium without needing taking apart), with longer journeys with access to their electric recharge sockets, free of charge. Elderly and disabled access to these carriages for booked seats.
- All long distance and suburban trains,
free recharge of electronic items such as laptops, tablets and mobile phones.
- All train and underground stations to have step-free access.
- All trains to have guards.
NEW BUSES IN BRITISH WORKSHOPS
- New electric powered trams and buses for towns and cities, that are roll on / roll off.
- Solar panels on bus depot roofs to store and charge electric buses. Put solar panels atop buses.
- Retrofit diesel buses to Euro 6 standards and make them roll on – roll off, for rural routes, in British workshops.
- Work towards all London taxis side slide door type with roll out ramp from under passenger compartment floor.
- Work towards all taxi and private hire taxis offering vans that are roll on / roll off at back for wheelchair and small to medium mobility scooters, with means to secure person and disability aid.
BETTER EDUCATE MANUAL CYCLE and
E-BIKE RIDERS
- Ban sale, even for use on private land, of
e-scooters. - Perhaps utilising storylines in soaps and public service adverts, re-educate cyclists and e-cyclists as to pedestrian safety, as well as danger to themselves of head injuries and facial disfigurement. Especially at pedestrian road crossings.
- Funding Exo-skeleton research to future replace wheelchair / mobility scooters for mobility physical disabilities.
- Funding into robots that help disabled people in the home, utilising voice commands or controlled manually and interacting with objects.
- Employ more staff to help with wheelchair access.
- Ensure wheelchair accessible taxi area after baggage claim.
- More disabled access single cubicle toilets. Provide Incontinence bins not only women’s sanitary or baby nappy disposal bins.
- Research why airlines break wheelchairs / mobility scooters in transit.
- Better assistance when keep your wheelchair / mobility scooter in airports til
Gate boarding.

..."In regards to this nonsense about cutting disability supports because legislators want to save money – let’s talk about the whole economic stimulus that countries are talking about across the world – definitely here in Canada and definitely in the UK.
Think of what happens if you give disabled people the money and supports they need. Those monies go straight out for services and important items.
I’m not a dragon like something from Lord of the Rings on a horde of gold. I have vast needs that get more and more expensive as I deteriorate. So from a completely bloodless point of view, giving disabled people the money and supports that they need to have a baseline level of adequate quality of life is a huge economic stimulus. That money flows right back out into the economy."...
