Background
Here is the funding for Age 50 works pension age policy from our new party.

WORKS PENSIONS
..."back in 2014 the combined deficit of defined benefit (works) pension schemes stood at nearly £400bn"...
Now is ..."a surplus of over £400bn ...nearly £1.5trn of Defined Benefit (works pension) assets"...

WHY?
Us 1950s ladies know our increased early death rate became worse in 2014 to us turning 60 that year, with pension age 66 hitting us. The survivors paid in then 6 more years into pension schemes.

The 1960s ladies began turning 60 in 2020 and have been paying into pension schemes since then, with their pension age 67.

Then our death rate increased 10,000 more a year from 2020 from the pandemic.

ILL HEALTH WORKS PENSIONS

  • Make ill health early works pension payment easier, for inability to do the job they are employed in, not any job at all. Includes severe menopause.

        • BACKGROUND

            • Latest figures released by Office of National Statistics (ONS 2021-2022) show that around
half the men and women who have been on unemployment benefit for more than 12 months,
              are over 50.

            • Unemployment amongst people aged over 50 is up 23% compared with pre-Covid levels.

            • Both men and women who have health issues over the age of 50 ( and who doesn’t) and find it difficult to stay in work are being confined to a twilight existence until they get their pension, which is being remorselessly made later and later in their lives by an uncaring government.
