Improved support for cash in this digital age

  • Unlike the coming Bill, Over 50s party would pass law to make paying in cash mandatory by businesses and shops.

  • Ensuring bank branches and cashpoints in deprived and rural areas, so have access to cash.

  • Ensuring more post office shops, who offer Everyday Banking services for cash, like free to use ATMs and access to your bank for cash and cheques.

      • The Post Office has an agreement with many banks that enables people to do their day-to-day banking over its counters.

  • The UK banks and building societies would play a greater role in supporting their customers as we move towards an increasingly digital society.
