BACKGROUND
More than 500,000 older Britons living overseas are losing out as a result of the UK’s “frozen pensions” policy.
These people’s basic state pensions don’t increase every year, as happens in the UK – they are permanently frozen at the same rate as it was when they first became entitled, or the date they left the UK if they were already pensioners then.
