Legal Aid
Return and enhance Legal Aid.
Legal aid is when the state steps in to help meet the costs of legal advice and representation in court to ensure a fair trial for defendants, who otherwise might not be able to afford support.
As Legal Aid funded defence, lawyers have not seen a fee rise for 20 years, there is (in 2021) dire shortage of lawyers. Raise Legal Aid fees to defence lawyers.
LAW AND NHS PATIENTS
Repeal laws of criminal Kidnap if you take your child or adult relative out of NHS hospital or care home.
Make DNR notice / Liverpool Care Pathway first degree murder, by conspiracy / joint enterprise, between doctor (giving permission in medical records) and nursing staff who undertake to starve and thirst the patient to death.
If not going to treat patient, then discharge from hospital with NHS ongoing healthcare at home. Law to make Right to Food generally, to include in NHS and private hospitals.
Hospital Patient Charter backed by law, giving right to demand treatment, as well as right to be fed and hydrated when in hospital.
Abusive patients, physically attacking medical staff, are exempted from right to demand treatment, by law.
Secure unit orders for drug addicts, not imprisonment, for treatment to help them kick their addiction.
