BETTER ROADWAYS 

• Oblige utility companies to resurface the roads after digging. 

• Upgrade highways.

• Improve roadworks at known bottlenecks. 

• Resurface roads, not just fill in pot holes. 

• Fund research if plastic waste tarmac deals with plastic recycling problem and helps roads last longer. 

• End Smart Motorways and bring back hard shoulder wide enough to fully open driver's car, van or lorry doors safely, when vehicle breaks down. 
  
  
  
• Increase electric charging points for electric cars, including on motorway service station fuel stations. Hopefully research better solar electric charging points. 

BETTER DESIGNED ROADS 

• Use Road Traffic Accident Investigators, RAC, AA, Green Flag, and other accident prevention bodies like Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and Road Safety Foundation, to research better road design, to progress to lower motorist deaths. All roads, not just motorways and A-roads, including rural lanes.

• Road mirrors on narrow country lanes to deal with blind bends and exits / entrances to homes. 

• Scrap speed cameras. 
  
  
  
• Replace Speed Cameras with solar powered indications of your speed. 

• Ensure major roads have 5G coverage, but not one tree will be felled to gain that, with research on how 5G coverage can be gained with trees. 
  
  
• Research how to make 5G look nicer in the landscape, when higher than surrounding trees, especially in rural areas.

• Fund research to reduce tyre roar on roads and motorways. 

• More trees on motorway and dual carriageways embankment, to deaden traffic noise to homes. 

• Rewild and maintain wildflower organic meadow, on road verges, to save bees, bumblebees and butterflies. 

• Rewild with native woodland and wildflower organic meadow, motorway service station green areas. Ponds without public access (child safety) but scenically viewed.

STONEHENCE ROAD 

• Build only long road tunnel that would begin and end outside the World Heritage Site (WHS) of Stonehenge, that does not undermine the WHS of Stonehenge. 

• Training of bike and cars and lorries riders / drivers together so they understand the blind spots and problems between each other. 

JOY RIDERS 

• Lose driving licence for life, if do illegal car or other vehicle racing on the road (joy riders), ie without police road closures. 

PEDESTRIANISED AND PAVEMENT USER SAFETY 

• Ban e-scooters on roads, even private ones. Ban sale and rental of them. (Nothing to do with disabled / elderly mobility scooters). 

• Research ways to bar cyclists being ridden in pedestrianised areas, whilst giving specific access times for van / lorry shop deliveries.

 

HELPING WHEELCHAIR MOBILITY SCOOTER RIDERS 

• Use television soaps series to educate people about use of mobility scooters on roads, to turn down speed dial by at least half on pavements, always looking left and right before turning about, and the turn down of speed dial and turtle button to constrain speed right down inside shops. 

• Ensure step free pedestrian areas, with properly lowered kerbs to road level for wheelchair / mobility scooters.
